Over the past two days, we brought together a multidisciplinary group of PhD students for a workshop on "Doing IPS". Shout-out to our amazing instructors @myducave.bsky.social, @mweitzel.bsky.social, and Nora El Qadim for inputs on concepts, critical methods, and unruly manuscripts!
For our upcoming PhD workshop, we will be joined by three stellar speakers: 🤖 @myducave.bsky.social will talk about “STS and International Security,” 🌍️ @mweitzel.bsky.social will teach on “Affect and Ethnography in IPS,” and 📚️ Nora El Qadim will offer insights into publishing in the #IPS journal!

How can we navigate the ethico-political tensions of researching power and its abuse in IR? Working through concrete dilemmas, our roundtable at this year’s #SPSA Conference in Zurich explored ethics not as an abstract and decontextualized concept, but as a situated, modest, and reflexive practice.
Gearing up for the #SPSA Annual Conference this week in Zürich? 📆 Mark your calendars for our roundtable on the ethics and politics of researching with/in a broken world on Jan 16! 🎙️ With Rahel Kunz, Stéphanie Perazzone, Ulrike Lühe & Jonas Hagmann - mod. by @fhofmann.bsky.social. More infos 👇
