thursday endzone sesion : massive groove swerve. not a big fan of this lot. saw them once and to be honest, they kind of bored me. but this is an album i enjoy from time to time.

thursday session : fck everything else, time for an excess of SWAY.
thursday session : i loved the whole 'this is not my album, this is a mixtape' ongoing joke across a lot of sways releases. r.i.p sway.
in other news : in the last few months i have been totally back into ukhh. sway was a massive blast of fresh air when he hit the scene. i fckn loved his whole style and groove. also, he made me laugh. a rare thing in the world of hip hop. so, this hits hard. www.theguardian.com/music/2026/s...

thursday session : after the brilliance of the las choice, tis time for some randoms off these t.raumshmiere eps.
thursday session : glam beats vs techno never sounded this perfectly nasty. i fckn loved this 'band'. full on industrial guitar noise one minute. bleep-n-bass brilliance the next. the 2 albums and remix eps released on novamute were never less than brilliant.
thursday session : after an afternoon of extreme gardening, i need something to calm things down. thankfully, i have just the album.

wednesday session : time for a mixtape. found my happy place. and, as per usual it involves UNKLE.
in other news : the final season of 'colin from accounts' was bloody brilliant. so many genuine lol moments.

wednesday session : after a day of the usual expected gubbins, followed by a couple hours of serious adult chaos that thankfully only happens once every few years, tis time for some dark electro disco excess. and who better than trevor 'playgroup' jackson to kick things off with.
A song which would a) launch this British hip hop group into the pop charts, but also b) inspire Massive Attack to expand their live show from just decks and a microphone after seeing Stereo MCs perform live

Rediscover The Go! Team’s Debut Album ‘Thunder, Lightning, Strike’ (2004) | Tribute
Designed for shenanigans, in the best of ways, the songs on ‘Thunder, Lightning, Strike’ are participatory, demanding you get up and “shake your derriere” and “rock this place.”

sunday session : has been a very long time since i did the flykkller thing. for a couple of years i fckn loved them.
sunday session : now that the evenings are dark, and its a sunday, then it is time to revisit james blake. i never really got his thing until a couple of years ago. but now i love his sadcore vs dubstep thing. especially on a dark sunday evening.
sunday session : just listened to an old baggy track with shuffling beats and lazy sunday morning vocals. time to cleanse.
in other news : i have an instagram that has been unloved by me for a long time. but recently, i have started to use it. it's just more of the same of course. but just in case there are folks interested : www.instagram.com/ireallylovem...
sunday session : one of yesterdays charity shop finds. it is everything you'd expect from one of the prodigy crew. big beats + rock band noise + the odd guest vocal. dated it may be, but its totally my kind of album.
saturday session : quite possibly the most unexpected charity shop find ever happened today. the bands early screamo albums do little for me, but then they discovered electronica and bass. and subsequently became a lot more interesting.
saturday session : time for a cheesy dubstep mixtape. not going to lie, i am loving having the sonic insanity of dubstep back on the playlist. mixtapes like this start off with the commercial stuff, and then get a lot more interesting deeper into the tracklisting. #dubstep
saturday session : time for one of todays unexpected charity shop finds. this was not the usual £1 find, so had to pay a few quid for it. but hey, artcore vs doc scott. a total no brainer.
saturday session : gotta love some noisy brostep. especially when its '2 for a fiver' deal incl. postage. i know a few of these tracks via mixtapes, but never heard the album. dubstep vs cheese-n-pop excess. just what i needed to kick the session off with.
