Day 199 of posting games I own. This time, (two copies of) Kamaitachi no Yoru for PS1. I bought these back before I was keeping a list, so when I saw the original release, with obi, for only a hundred yen, I didn't think too hard about whether or not I'd already bought a copy.

Japanese to English translator and retro game enthusiast. May have an unhealthy addiction to retro game shopping.
Day 198 of posting games I own. This time, Cat the Ripper for Sega Saturn Someone's been killing master detectives. You wake up next to the most recent victim without any memories. Soon, you're on the run from a couple of punk cops from Scotland Backyard, and enlist a detective to clear your name.
Day 197 of posting games I own. This time, Powers Kingdom for 3DO. The world has been overrun by the forces of Azrael, and you, a golem serving the goddess Erald, have to awaken your fellow golems and fight back. Extremely barebones plot, but there's some fun tactical RPG combat to be had here.
Day 196 of posting games I own. This time, Atelier Ryza DX for Switch. Been a while since I've played an Atelier, so I decided to give Ryza a try. The character designs and some of the camerawork were a bit hornier than I remember these games usually being, but the crafting's as addictive as ever.
Day 195 of posting games I own. This time, Toki wo Koeta Tegami for 3DO. My first game on the system. In 1945, two journalists with the Daily Casablanca investigate a friend who has disappeared, leaving behind a diary that asks them to stop her father's research from being used for the war effort.
Day 194 of posting games I own. This time, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim for Switch. I'd heard a lot of praise, and wanted to check this out for a while. Most the twists turned out to be ones I'd seen before (was pretty happy when it lifted one from a certain mecha OVA!), but it's very well presented.
Share a photo of your physical video game collection to scare a PlayStation executive. (It's time to admit I have a problem. That problem is that I need my wife to tidy up the junk room so I can put in another shelf.)

Day 193 of posting games I own. This time, Tantei Jinguuji Saburo: Mikan no Rupo for Playstation. The Jinguuji series returns after having been dormant for a full console generation. It's an ambitious game, with four different playable investigators, and a whole lot of social commentary.
Day 192 of posting games I own. This time, Gnosia for Switch. I picked up a Switch 2 earlier this year, anticipating the price hikes, and while this single player sci-fi social deduction game with visual novel and RPG elements wasn't the first thing I played on it, it's the first I've finished.
Day 191 of posting games I own. This time, Theresia... -Dear Emile- for Nintendo DS. An amnesiac girl awakens in an underground facility filled with deadly traps. A breadcrumb trail of diary pages reveals the story of a pandemic, a massacre, and her over-possessive mother's involvement.
Decided to do one of these too. Restricted to things I own on Steam and have played at least a few hours of, with a bias toward the ones that had less reviews. 9games.pages.dev/s/fgftwrsj

Headed down to Tokyo for the 5th/6th, which should put me in town just in time for the reopening of BEEP in Akiba. Didn't plan it that way, but I'll definitely have to stop in.
Day 190 of posting games I own. This time, Tantei Jinguji Saburo Early Collection for PS1. This includes the first four Jinguji Saburo games along with some additional materials and a useful HELP! function that provides hints for some of the points where it's easy to get stuck in the games.
Day 189 of posting games I own. This time, Ojousama Sousamou for PC-FX. As an aspiring phantom thief, you steal priceless treasures and then sell them for chump change to buy overpriced breaking and entering gear from the real thief in this story, the owner of the thief shop.
Day 188 of posting games I own. This time, Heracles no Eikou IV: Kamigami Kara no Okurimono for Super Famicom. The fourth Glory of Heracles starts out with an amnesiac dog who discovers he's actually the immortal ghost of one of the last survivors of Atlantis and sets out to get his body back.
if you see this you have to post an anime opening from 2000-2005

Currently at 5/12 done for my 12for12. Also, after an afternoon spent searching Akiba for a copy of Theresia, and buying entirely too much other stuff while wandering through half a dozen shops to find it, I now have copies of everything.
Day 187 of posting games I own. This time, Slime Morimori Dragon Quest 2: Daisensha to Shippo-dan for Nintendo DS. The Tail Gang are back, and they've kidnapped yet another slime's entire village. It's time to save our family and friends again, this time with giant tanks.
Day 186 of posting games I own. This time, Neues for Playstation. In this raising sim/novel game, the unsociable Sius, who works in forestry management, finds a bio-android girl who has been promised by a goat-unicorn in her dreams that the next time she awakens she will become human.
Day 185 of posting games I own. This time, Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon for Game Boy Color. Two babies with a dark past, and possibly headed for a dark future, fall from the heavens and are adopted by you, the player, in this sequel to the first Tales game.
Day 184 of posting games I own. This time, Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube. I picked this up semi-recently for for my 12for12. Was definitely more affordable than a Mega Drive copy of Ristar, but, uh, my poor aching thumb informs me the Gamecube controller d-pad was not built for this.
Day 183 of posting games I own. This time, Fuuraiki for Playstation. A young photojournalist wanders Hokkaido with a bike inherited from someone he was very close to, meeting locals and fellow travelers in a story about the meetings and partings we have on our journey through life.
Day 182 of posting games I own. This time, Shining Soul for Gameboy Advance. This is a Diablo-like action RPG with minimal plot, set a thousand years before Shining Force. It's mind-numbingly simple, and (mostly) easy, but it's not badly put together.
Day 181 of posting games I own. This time, 46-okunen Monogatari for Super Famicom. In this action RPG from Enix, which has some recognizably Dragon Quest-y music at times, you evolve from a fish to a human and stop some aliens from messing with evolution.
Day 180 of posting games I own. This time, Heracles no Eikou III: Kamigami no Chinmoku for Super Famicom. In this third Glory of Heracles game, a group of immortal amnesiacs travel to discover who they once were, cavalierly throwing themselves off of tall buildings to impress people along the way.
Day 179 of posting games I own. This time, Heracles no Eikou II: Titan no Metsubou for Famicom. The second game in the Glory of Heracles series throws out much of the style of the first entry to become a more traditional Dragon Quest 2 clone while retaining the Greco-Roman setting.
Day 178 of posting games I own. This time, Indra no Hikari for Famicom. In this RPG, the ancestor's of humanity came to Planet Ival with the god Ban on his skyship long ago, but then Ban's power source, the Light of Indra, was stolen by monsters and the god fell asleep. It's time to wake him up.
Day 177 of posting games I own. This time, Boundary Gate: Daughter of Kingdom for PC-FX. It's a short DRPG, clocking in at 10-11 hours. A mercenary heads to a country with strangely advanced technology that's supposedly hiring, but ends up acting as a bodyguard for a girl looking for her sister.
Day 176 of posting games I own. This time, Seiken Densetsu 3 for Super Famicom. The third game in the Mana series thoroughly polishes the combat system introduced by the second game while introducing multiple protagonists to choose from for added replayability.
Day 175 of posting games I own. This time, Noobow for Gameboy. In this puzzle adventure game, Noobow the adorable yellow blob wakes up on an island and helps a series of animals (and also Santa Claus) with their problems while trying to get home.
