—As It Turns Out It was always the simple things like holding hands And laughing blue jeans and T-shirts dancing in the kitchen hearing you sing songs —As it turns out It was always those simple things I wanted to do For the rest of my life, the rest of my life - with you ~Alison Peace

As It Turns Out
It was always the simple things
like holding hands
And laughing
blue jeans and T-shirts
dancing in the kitchen
hearing you sing songs
As it turns out
It was always those simple things
I wanted to do
For the rest of my life,
the rest of my life - with you

Revised poem 2026

Vladimir Nabokov in a letter to his wife Véra (March 1925) trans. by Olga Voronin I'm walking out now into the soft light, the cooling hum of evening, and I will love you tonight, and tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and still many more, so very many more tomorrows.

I've spent most of my life looking at myself through the eyes of people who didn't see me. Now, I am going to try looking at myself through the eyes of those who see and understand me. ~ Dr. Brad Reedy

IN 150 CHARACTERS OR LESS ~Nikita Gill —Everything is on fire, but everyone I love is doing beautiful things and trying to make life worth living, and I know I don't have to believe in everything, but I believe in that.

IN 150 CHARACTERS OR LESS
Everything is on fire, but everyone I love is doing beautiful things and trying to make life worth living,
and I know I don't have to believe in everything, but | believe in that.

Poem for Tuesday I Remember —Anne Sexton —By the first of August, the invisible beetles began to snore/we took our gin warm and neat from old jelly glasses/one day I tied my hair back with a ribbon/what I remember best is that the door to your room was the door to mine.

I Remember
Anne Sexton
By the first of August the invisible beetles began to snore and the grass was as tough as hemp and was no color-no more than the sand was a color and we had worn our bare feet bare since the twentieth of June and there were times we forgot to wind up your alarm clock and some nights we took our gin warm and neat from old jelly glasses while the sun blew out of sight like a red picture hat and one day I tied my hair back with a ribbon and you said that Ilooked almost like a puritan lady and what I remember best is that the door to your room was the door to mine.

Poem for Monday All I Have Left ~ Kristina Mahr This is all I have left, this handful, this small bunch I won't give up. We drive through a light as it turns yellow, and you look over at me and smile. (It's one of the ones I keep.) 🤍

All I Have Left
I'm sorry I could not save them all. I have carried what I could for some time now, for such a long time now, but they are heavy. I have had to drop some so that I could keep moving. Some nights I reach for them half-asleep and can't breathe for missing them.
This is all I have left, this handful, this small bunch I won't give up.
We drive through a light as it turns yellow, and you look over at me and smile.
(It's one of the ones I keep.)

WHAT CAN'T BE TAKEN ~ Andrea Gibson What Can't Be Taken Trauma was not being able to get the hands of the clock off me. Healing was learning No one has ever laid a fingerprint on the part of me that's infinite.
