We are International Relations, Politics and History at Loughborough University, part of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. We offer seven undergraduate programmes, an MA in International Security, and doctorates.

My department is hiring a lecturer or senior lecturer in philosophy. It's an open call in terms of research specialization, but we're keen to hire someone whose teaching/research speaks to PPE in some way. This is a great job in a great department. Please help me spread the word!

I’m delighted to share that I have received an Early Career Fellowship Grant from the Royal Historical Society! This support will allow me to finalise the book proposal for my project: 'Creeds of Kinship: Anna Kingsford, Henry Salt, and the Animals that Shaped Modern Ethics'.

I'm very excited to share that I'm part of the editorial team for the forthcoming Oxford Handbook of Animal Politics, along with Matt Perry (@mattwperry.bsky.social), Sara Van Goozen (@drsvg.bsky.social), Steve Cooke (@stevecooke.org), Alasdair Cochrane, and Angie Pepper. Watch this space!

I’m on my way home from the third CARMA conference, where I was part of a panel on cellular agriculture and fashion. Highlights include some fascinating poster presentations on pet food, growth media, and in vitro hypertrophy.
