I've always made it a point not to tag the main accounts, or use the actors names in my portraits, I don't ever want anyone to feel pressured to engage - but I also figured from a practical stand point to avoid potential cease and desist letters for drawing their likeness And while it was always reassuring to see the writer's support artists in the fandom, still I had this hesitancy, but seeing it there -1 feel encouraged to speak directly to @annericeamc and say: "thank you With love and thankfulness ~ my heart soars

My insta post yesterday ~ sharing where I stand, and the digital boundaries I'm taking moving forward to show both my support but also extending empathy for this political and social climate 🫂 Though I cannot change the world - I will continue to "do small things with great love." (St. Therese)

While I can't change the world, I can stand in my truth - which is this: as a queer, disabled, and neurodivergent person navigating chronic illness, shaped by life as a dual citizen and the child of immigrants, I know what it feels like to be "othered." I'm not just an ally - I'm part of the community that is deeply concerned for what lies ahead, both politically and socially. I've spent too much of my life shrinking myself, waiting for permission to take up space in public communities - and I will never do that again. While I'm continuing to explore privacy options to protect my data (I'll link an article about that in my stories soon) and curating my timelines as a form of self-care (which I encourage you to do too), I'm not leaving. Instagram is more than just a social app for me - it's a vital tool for my art business: a place for marketing, networking, and building connections with all of you. I understand if this decision leads to unfollows; your boundaries are valid. I'm not pressuring anyone to stay, nor am I suggesting we can't remain friends if you choose other platforms. I hope we can continue to invest time and energy into mutually respectful relationships wherever we cross paths. I'm sharing this to be transparent about where I stand with my account and to empathize with fellow members of the queer, spoonie, and immigrant communities. We all deserve to exist fully and unapologetically, together. Let's continue to build healthy, welcoming communities that honor mutually respectful moral contracts - take up space ❤️
