Now would European leaders actually have the stomach for shooting at US forces if they seized Greenland next week? Eh given how basically nobody has the stomach to even send troops to Ukraine right now I’m going to bet absolutely not. In which case why shouldn’t Trump go for it, free real estate!

Typically when the US embarks on an illegal or dubiously legal regime change we use noble words about democracy, rule of law, spreading freedom, etc. to justify our actions. Trump has not done that. He offers few noble words as eulogistic covering. It's a crass power & oil grab, according to Trump.
