We are thrilled to announce the 2026 Iska Book Prize shortlist, featuring eight writers whose manuscripts stood out to us for their distinctive voices, compelling stories, and the strength of their writing.

Set from the Sierra Leone civil war of the 1990s through the early 21st century, including the post war years, the Ebola outbreak, and the era of COVID and contemporary migration, Alieu wove a masterpiece. Out on October 10th!
