Hi! Back to teaching in a school. Taught privately in my own studio over the summer (and will continue to do so, since I make DOUBLE the amount). At least I have a nice room with 2 grand pianos (the upright is mine, and I’m selling it). Although it would have been nice if the pianos were in tune 🤔😂

Verrry slowly re-introducing wheat flour into my life (after 25 years) crumb by crumb, then one small bite every few days, etc. I will never eat “normal USA wheat” again, but I’m using Jovial’s Einkorn wheat flower which has been shown to be much better tolerated by those with sensitivities!

One of the schools I teach at recently had its enrollment go from 9,000 to 6,000 quite suddenly due to the current USA-admin's racist/hatred/bullying of anyone from another country that is blessed with more pigment than your standard vanilla-ice-cracker. So I understand WHY schools are struggling.

My piano technician came by and brought piano moving wheels that he attached to the legs, thank goodness (my back still hurts from moving a 1000 lb instrument). Plus, he looked at some noise issues with the key bed, and will probably be taking the action with him for a few weeks in August. #piano

Two piano moving dollies, each with three wheels to make moving my instrument much easier on a wooden floor. They are cast-iron, and can easily hold 1000 pounds. One per leg, three wheels per leg, makes moving this thousand pound instrument much easier.The keyboard bed laid out on a table with half the keys removed. The key bed itself, the frame, seems to have some slight warp to it, and makes noise when I play in certain parts of the piano keyboard. This is an involved process to repair, And most likely will be done when I am away for several weeks.The piano keys themselves just laying on the floor and disarray kind of weird to see them like thisThe keypad which supports and holds the keyboard itself completely void of keys, resting on a table as he assesses the issues
