This season's fantasy city builder series, The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects is really adding a lot of variations on the sorts of sentient creatures that inhabit its world. Aymer is like a little Jerboa, a mature and well read Jerboa.

Aymer Jerrybower, a small rodent like creature that resembles a jerboa known as a big-eared hopping mousekin wearing a green shawl that matches her green eyes behind her tiny spectacles introduces herself after being rescued from a closed box full of dry beans and notes "It might not be obvious in my case, but I'm a grown woman." Starting in on the first proper season of The Ninth Jedi. I'm a bit disappointed that we're getting the whole season. Weekly discussion& anticipation feels like the best way to really get folks enthused for a new branch of Star Wars. Disney just cannot get out of its own way with Anime.

Noticed a Dub dropped for The Daily Life of a Middle-aged Online Shopper. A bit surprised at that. If you're really keen on Isekai that focus on economics alongside the harem angle, you might look past the animation quality on this one. Maybe start with A Realist Hero if you haven't already seen it?

Since the new season is on the way, I rewatched the first few eps of Reincarnated as a Sword on HiDive. I quite like the mentor & protegé angle it employs, a nice change of pace from the Isekai+harem combo. It's world isn't quite grimdark but it isn't short on moments of brutality. Solid Dub too.

I'm not sure it'll wind up as my favorite of the season but Dara-san of Reiwa is delivering an impressive blend of kind-hearted comedy, supernatural ecchi & juuuust enough dark fantasy/horror that you can't help but wonder if the characters you care about are indeed safe. They are though. Probably.

Which film do you think perfectly captures the 1990's? A suburban teen, a parent able to afford a single family home on one salary, baggy jeans & hooded shirts, a car that has a functioning cigarette lighter standard plus Tevin Campbell is there. (Also Paulie Shore but don't tell anyone that)

We adopted him knowing he had health issues that might shorten his time with us, which proved to be true today, but the affection and warmth Simon Trent brought was incredible. If you are able to take in an older pet or one medical issues, please do. They return so much of the love they deserve.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, or Alice In Chains. My recollection is that this was actually the first CD I bought as a kid. I think in part thanks to Tiny Toon Adventures of all things Flood gets perceived as like a two song album. It is not.

Ang Lee's Hulk film may seem like it should be better but it isn't. We're left sifting through flat or overly busy scenes trying to find a movie that we wish it was. I'm sure Tartakovsky is busy with Conan but just as you can see the Hyborian in Primal, you can also see Spear Smash! CW: Gore
