this is truly predatory bullshit... it sounds like you're going to get a bigger % of the ad revenue - but you're not. you're just giving more permission for greater ad density. The "Potential Revenue Increase" marker is also highly misleading. 🤮

General tip if you use the new Badge system Twitch added. It seems the notification gives you no channel name, and clicking it goes to a help article. Probably smart if creators put channel names in the badge names for now.

A good thing to learn about the creator sphere is that there's a tendency to blame "The machine" instead of looking inward and thinking "Hey, maybe my content is becoming too same-y". Evolving your content should be a constant thing you do, not something you only do when views are down.

Sorry I'm gonna hop on this. Y'all need to stop blaming Twitch or some boogeyman thing they're "doing" on why your views are low. The ad break screen thing already got debunked and discussed by an employee at twitch. The extension that shows your "real" view count also isn't accurate.

Some day companies will learn Open Source _does not_ mean "I can slap my logos on this and now I can release this as my own product"
