At this rate, the Switch 2 will be the last gaming console I buy for the foreseeable future. I’m primarily digital but physical media is unbelievably important to our rights as consumers. So if the industry wants to take those rights away, I have no choice but to tap out and stick with my backlog
The way some people act about GTA6 is the way people THINK Pokemon fans act about Pokemon. I've never seen a more fiercely loyal fanbase in the face of disgustingly scummy business practices.
TADC SPOILERS - - - - So now that the finale is out publicly I've seen some people dissapointed that they didn't really explain how the characters got in the circus beyond that they're brain scans of people who are still out in the real world. But tbh I don't think the answer is all that important.
What the hell was up with the voiceover in that P4R broadcast? It's scripted like you've never heard of Persona or even a video game before.

Indie creators shouldn’t have to turn into emotionless cryptids that appear once in a blue moon to share their works and otherwise have no online presence in order to survive *checks notes* creating a popular cartoon. But I don’t know how else they’re supposed to navigate this bullshit.
I want to be clear. I’ve been to more than 20 conventions around the world now, interacting with countless people daily, and 99.9% have been so, so sweet and gracious to me and my castmates. It is so much easier to be an asshole online due to the anonymity. The world is better offline.

I think I would like to take some time to write something up in response to this. Frankly, I've had a lot of friction with Jake's work in the past and that's no different here. But he's written something that resonates here in a way that I didn't expect and I want to give it a thoughtful reply.

Obviously JJBA has had a ton of memes of the years but I think that "Get in the car! We're leaving this town!" meme is the first time that a meme has specifically spawned from the english dub and I think that's pretty cool as someone who always liked the dub.
Its really disappointing when an artist I followed who used to draw great Xenoblade art starts talking shit about it via vagueposting while gassing up their new gacha hyperfixation. Its one thing to move on to something else, that's normal. But at least have the decency to not talk shit.
