Once David Sedaris told me I looked handsome and sad. An effete, strident, bicoastal (both sides of the Delaware River) queer. Same name on IG⬆️📸 He/him. 🏳️‍🌈

Of the many things I think about the Michigan primary, I will say that the very large polling error does not find me in what I would consider a state of good mental health ahead of midterms.

Marvel movies are none of my business, & I love when people love things, but the worst part of any Marvel rollout is how everyone participates in the fiction that it's a miracle that the lead has undergone a miraculous body evolution that doesn't involve tons of free time, surplus dollars, and HGH.

I really want the Dems to take back the Senate, but after holding candlelight vigils for Sinema, even knowing she could end up the Susan Collins of the desert, and holding my breath for Fetterman, I'm not sure I have the emotional bandwidth to feign any positivity around Haley Stevens this year.

Sometimes if I'm running out of things to say to strangers in the course of my job and they ask me what I'm up to, I just say "hyrox," and they're always like: ok, cool. Note: I don't do anything hyrox-related.

After being the world's only person unmoved by Shuggie Bain, I've really liked Douglas Stewart's other novels so much. John of John is another great read in his lane where everyone is a little bit gay and/or hopeless.

Philadelphians are already announcing they’re running for City Council next year without checking in on my emotional bandwidth. Babes, please let us get through Labor Day or even midterms!
