My new normal social media feed. Still probably ranting about clock management & game theory. Ban “take the points.” Hopeful bsky overtakes Twitter.

I've had several entries inside the top 50 of the ESPN NFL Pick'Em contest where you pick any 5 games against the spread each week (same thing as the Vegas Supercontest or the Circa Million) Having most entries this week with Commanders -2.5, Seahawks -2.5 and Falcons +2.5 is PAINFUL

As for Iowa, their schedule is harder than what you will hear a lot of people say in the national CFB media space. Per SP+, they still have two particularly tough ones: #14 Nebraska at #17 Northwestern (this one terrifies me with what Chip is doing schematically on offense)

For just my own two cents, I think Notre Dame, by a very slim margin, is the best team in the country. Georgia, Ohio State and Miami (once they get healthy on defense) have good arguments as well, and those are a pretty clear top four for me

If you look at SP+ rankings (probably the best publicly available model to show how good teams are), SEC has the edge for being the best conference. That said, the main difference is that the Big Ten has a couple more bottom feeders. It's pretty even in the top 2/3 of each league

That said, I have zero faith in people running replay centers. You need 20-40 year olds who know how to use technology and move efficiently But over half the time on these live look ins, it's just one main guy struggling to communicate and doesn't even know all the angles available to look at

Btw, I know some will disagree with me, but penalties or missed calls should be allowed to be challenged by coaches. That missed DPI completely swung the outcome of UGA/BAMA
