Something I believe really firmly about worldbuilding, is that people should believe things that are NOT true. Fantasy too often takes the position that Gods are real and Magic works. People are made of worship and superstition. Whether it's real or not doesn't matter to them.

Okay the advice of "just turn the character sheet landscape" and "you can leave empty space for your players to write/draw/make notes how they want to" did a lot to improve this design. Thanks @explorersdesign.bsky.social for your tips!

Very far from refined but it does look like Crimson Skies Quite happy with how I worked out a damage mechanic that focuses on disabling systems, which will hopefully make for interesting player choices. Just need to see if there are enough interesting interactions to be made from that for weapons

I am so glad I started learning Photoshop 15 years ago. I don't think I am good, but I can knock out good enough in under an hour now, which has been a huge boon to doing tabletop game design.

It's interesting how many "generically medieval" fantasy settings manage to miss the actual medieval period on both ends. They've got the Roman Empire rubbing shoulders with the German Renaissance, skipping directly from the year 500 to the year 1500 with nothing in between!

It really is incredible how much they can move the frame while abosultely nothing is happening. I love the absolute fever dream of retention editing they have created. Its like watching the end point of social media.
