So! 100,000 subscribers! and a 5 million-view video! I don't have much to say about the numbers themselves! Just glad to see people like watching videos about the stuff I find interesting :D I have no updates to share; stuff is in the works, and progress is (slowly) being made !

I had a ton of ideas for how well the video was going to perform, but a million in a week was... well beyond them! I'd be very proud of the video regardless, but I really appreciate all the nice comments, y'all are too much 🩵

I wrote a simulator for the FFPS YOLO strategy, and this is everything interesting/useful I found. 🧵 The best lure location for this strat is the middle left while using the flashlight to the right. Below are the simulated win rates for other locations, and facing directions:

For those wondering what the actual odds of Backseat's double Golden Freddy playthrough are, they're 1 in 395. Not 1 in 2,846 as originally calculated, but he was still very, very lucky.

Backseat originally calculated the probability of getting 2+ Golden Freddy appearances with a binomial distribution with these parameters: (p = 1/100,000, n = 2,675, X ≥ 2) This calculation ends up with 0.0351%/1 in 2,846, but it's actually 0.253%/1 in 395. This strategy makes sense, but unfortunately, is a bit wrong. The first mistake is using 2,675 trials. That is the number of seconds in 5 nights, but because of the ordering of events, you can't actually encounter Golden Freddy on the last second of the night. Secondly, it doesn't take into account the fact that you can only encounter Golden Freddy once a night. A proper calculation would first calculate the odds that you encounter Golden Freddy on any given night, then do a binomial distribution over 5 trials/nights. Finally, as explained in my new video, it was recently found that Golden Freddy's probability is actually 1/32,768, not 1/100,000. The first two errors don't really change the odds much in comparison to this one.
