Exactly five years have passed since I took these photos of the one and only Antonov An-225 Mriya UR-82060 over Belgium, enroute on 27 October 2021 from Almaty to Shannon as flight ADB3982 🇰🇿🛫🛬🇮🇪 Unfortunately the aircraft was destroyed in February 2022 at Hostomel Airport during a Russian attack.

As aviation winter season W26/27 is about to begin in the Northern Hemisphere, some airlines are changing routes and/or frequencies. Unfortunately it appears that Norwegian airline Widerøe has decided to cut its service between Bergen and Brussels permanently just two years after opening the route.

The Boeing 747 Queen of the Skies is still going strong at Brussels Airport, at least in a cargo configuration. Here we see two yesterday evening B747 cargo arrivals on RWY 01 in less than ten minutes: an Air Belgium you-name-it-hybrid-liveried B748 and an ASL Airlines B744 #brusselsairport #b747

Some additional dragonfly macro photos I made the past few weeks in the nearby park. Quite pleased with the result but there’s definitely room for improvement (eg a dedicated macro lens). During the photoshoot I had to explain to several people who walked by, what the h#%< I was doing 😅
