Look what my largest child brought home today! @devilligan.bsky.social you want me to steal it for you?
Heckin tired. Being ill when my mum was up to visit wasn't the plan, but hey ho. We managed to have fun regardless. Showed my offsprings Rocky Horror Picture show for the first time. My mum is a huuuge fan, so it was lovely her being there to see it too. The youngest loved it so much they cried 💘
Still feeling rough, but distracting myself with the Dressmaker game. Saw @mousie.yogscast.com playing it the other day, and it very much dpoke to me. When I mentioned it this morning it turned out hubby had already added it to the wishlist 🥰
Been rotten ill all day, but the minkies subathon was so much fun. We raised a whole bunch of money for the RNLI thanks to @devilligan.bsky.social lovely community.
In good news today, my youngest offspring finally has an appointment to get their braces off. Their teeth are now as straight and neat as they can be. They might actually work properly now!
Skirt panels have been cut. This wool likes to fray, so I've bound the edges of the long sides. Because these won't be seen I've used some of the random bias binding from the stash I inherited from my Nana. I'm slowly getting through it. It's nice to have little bits of her in my projects.
Plan on doing some work on skirts later. I have all my velvet drying after a wash. I'll probably cut the wool skirt and get started printing that. But first I need more tea.

Hooray for Autumn! It's finally cool enough to work on my larger crochet projects. Work has continued on my gaming poncho, which is getting close to finished. After that will be my spooky mosaic crochet jumper. Fingers crossed I should get that finished by winter.
Save theatre, libraryes, parkes, indie bookestores, museums, cinema, non-chain restaurantes, coffee shoppes, meetinge places, qualitye public educacioun, communitye marketes, lyve musique, weirde places, goode places. All the thinges that corporate logic ys so eager to distorte and remove.
Just finished a fun Minkie D&D oneshot with @aquafoxcos.bsky.social Fabulous art of my fighter Silky Fluffbum by Aqua. Now eating celebratory cheese
Hubby is very happy playing Control: Resonant. He preordered it with his birthday money back in may. It's very trippy so far.
Going to see Resident Evil with the largest offspring after work. Looking forward to it.
Just had a fabulous time watching the beginning of Silent Hill: Townfall. Impressed with the Scottish details so far. Also got @devilligan.bsky.social to shout Bawbag 😆
Husband went away for rhe weekend and came home with this massive wooden #spider. Now I'm going to have to paint a web on the wall when I decorate.
Peacehammer 40K: Paintinge litel miniatures of gardeneres, sculptors, academics. Detailed scale dioramas of museums, kiosks, cafés. Trimminge hedges. Makinge friendes. Yn the cozye glowe of the far future ther ys onlye WARMTH.
Well, that's the dress dropped off with my friend. She loves it! No pictures until after her sisters wedding. It's incredibly swooshy.
Today instead of screaming into the abyss, I decided to listen to Fleetwood Mac's back catalogue. And despite the fact that I can't have listened to the Tango in the night album since the 90s, it's still in my brain. Sometimes I wonder how much of my brain is song lyrics
Dress bagged up, ready to get last fastening added when I get to my friends tomorrow. That was a lot of ruffles.
Looks like I'm getting the house to myself this weekend. Hubby and kids off to see his mum. I forsee lots of crafting, cuddling cats, and BG3. In my jammies. 🧶🐈⬛️🐈⬛️🎮
So close to getting this dress finished. Last of the ruffles gathered and pinned. Need to sew it tomorrow, then it's just a fastening, and tacking the sleeves on. #sewing
It turns out that my cats have no fear of sewing machines. Both of them love helping. Adds another level of challenge.
It's a good thing this was a prerecorded game. I had to keep pausing because I was laughing so hard. Silly wholesome fun ❤️

This evening was spent watching the small get a prize at school for being a clever goblin. They've won an award most years, and the speeches are always the same. You know an event is boring when you're sat next to a former teacher and they're doing a sudoku. Very proud of the sprog regardless
