📣 Fundraiser announcement! 📣 I'm sure you all know about the terrible flash floods that have hit Nepal. I will be raffling off a commission for a piece of quilled OFMD art. 1 entry = £5/$5/€5 donated to an organisation listed in the thread below. Entries close on 9th September. #OFMD

Text: Why Nepal? On 26th August, a devastating flash flood hit the Nepal-Tibet border, creating a humanitarian crisis on a huge scale. Hundreds are dead, and thousands are unaccounted for.

This raffle is to support the work of aid organisations operating in the region to assist with search and rescue efforts and to provide food and medical care to survivors.

Text: What is up for grabs? I will work with the winner to design and create an original piece of quilled OFMD art, with maximum dimensions of 7 x 5 inches

I will cover the cost of postage to anywhere in the world – please check whether any customs charges may be applied if you are outside of the UK

Spanish Jackie from Our Flag Means Death- we had the pleasure of creating her wonderful prosthetic wooden hand on the lovely @lesdogggg This was a fun workflow for us to design and create a functional glove that fit the desired aesthetic and performed well. We opted to design and sculpt this digitally over a scan of a lifecast of Leslie’s hand. Once approved these were printed in 2 parts and joined together by leather work. Painted and aged, with fake nails applied. I've seen a lot of folks on the TL lately saying they feel lonely or that they would like to make deeper connections. I host a relatively small Gentlebeard focused server. It's a very warm and positive space, and we chat about all kinds of things that go well beyond ofmd.
