Field trip out to Willy Field to fabricate some ramps for Kenn Borek Air. Got to tour the Basler and Twin Otter aircraft that serve the continental interior. I don't usually get to leave 'town' so I relish every opportunity to do so. That Basler is one beautiful bird!🛩️

It's official! I'm headed back to the ice! I will return to McMurdo Antarctica for my third season as the station machinist in a little over 3 weeks! Stay tuned for updates and pics!
I frequently say that Antarctica has only two seasons: summer and winter. There is no spring or fall. Upon further reflection, this is true at the very Pole, but the northern coasts do experience a period where the sun rises and sets. These could be thought of as Antarctic "spring" and "fall"
