My spambots are losing it. Today's bot has written to me about [Book title]. It writes "I’m contacting you regarding [Book Title], which has been selected for consideration". There isn't a description of the book in question, so who knows what it wants to talk about. Why do I get the defective bots?

Can you tell the difference between the author and her book? AI can't. Today's spambot Pamtastic is reaching out to me re my "book, Poet, novelist and short story writer." She wants to talk to me about "Poet, novelist and short story writer, (and) what inspired you to write it" 0 out of 10, spambot.

Today's spambot is a "famous author" who has seen me on Facebook and wants to connect. As with other famous spambots who have written to me, I've never heard of her. Spambots obviously view fame differently from me.

Spambot Mivela Digitals still thinks my fantasy novel Witchlight is a family history. For the record, despite some negative comments to the contrary, I am not a witch and there are none in my family, that I know of.

Today's spambot, Joy I of Mivela Digitals, scraped all the info on my books to write a long email. Sadly she describes Witchlight as an "intersection of urban paranormal fantasy, witchcraft, magic, family history, ghosts" There are no ghosts in the book and none of my family are witches! 3 out of 5.

Friendly spambot Beder Catreet (aka Bedar Bbgff) has emailed me again to say "The Witchlight Series is genuinely needed" but doesn't say for what. My brain is whirring with unsaid possibilities...

Today's spambot claims to be Beder Catreet (an unusual name in its own right) but its email name is Bedar Bbgff. One wonders if its robot cat wandered across the keyboard keys before the email was sent?
