#Shipaton Update 1/60: It’s Aug 8. Which means there are ~60 more days until the Sep 30 deadline. I’ve decided I’m gonna participate in this whole #BuildInPublic thing. Off to the races this coming Monday, with a substantial plan in the works. Today, resubmitted my app to the App Store for review!

A month ago, @peterfriese.dev turned the @swift.org language into a typeset PDF. Today I turned it into a physical print textbook. This was such a fun project! Words cannot describe how immensely grateful I am this reference now exists in my hands. Learning is now more accessible to me. Thank you!!

On the topic of AI... I keep thinking about this article. A lot. Like many things, the answer to what AI coding costs you is nuanced. But what it costs _me_ is... also nuanced, and it is now something I am actively thinking about day to day. However unlike AI, I'm not able to rush my thoughts on it.

I dunno when or where it’s worth mentioning this (probably everywhere), but I don’t use AI to create any stuff I post online (unless explicitly mentioned, in which case it’s usually comedic/satirical). I first learned about the /ai page from @cassidoo.co . I intend to make my own at some point!

There's a persistent bug on macOS where keyboard shortcuts assigned to shortcuts in the Shortcuts app don't work in certain apps. Which apps? Who knows. I don't! So I figured out a solution with BetterTouchTools and wrote up a short guide. Hopefully it helps someone! #LearnInPublic #BuildInPublic
