🗳️🔵 Candidate for Connecticut's 142nd House of Representatives District https://jackforct.start.page

☀️Great company at New Canaan Democrats’ Leading with Light fundraiser! Wonderful to hear from everyone from Meredith Tobitsch, who’s working to flip the 125th district, to Senator Blumenthal, who is fighting against authoritarianism and corruption from Trump and his cronies.

✍️ Sharing some reflections on my campaign and the issues of young people in my latest writing: "Gen-Z, What This Campaign Was Shaping Up to Be, and What Can Still Be Done." "Gen-Z’s perception of politics is one of cynicism.

Such a wonderful experience to talk to Brien McMahon High School civics classes last week about the experience of campaigning and importance of engaging in community and keeping the faith. It’s worth it to be involved, and stay involved — no matter what.

Mayor Rilling represents the best of Norwalk. A graduate of Norwalk High School and veteran of the United States Navy, he went on to rise through the ranks to become Chief of the Norwalk Police Department and was elected Mayor in 2013, serving for over a decade.

First radio show! ✅️ Such a pleasure to join Melissa In The Morning today to talk about everything from the importance of an accessible political system to the potential impact of artificial intelligence on jobs in Connecticut. Looking forward to keeping the conversation going!

🫵 Are you a delegate to the 2026 Democratic Nominating Convention? Would you like to be a volunteer to help check people in, manage the floor, and mingle with local and state politicians?

Mayor Bill Finch has years of executive and legislative experience in Connecticut. His career is marked by a strong belief in good governance and a reverence for the environment.

As an architect and planner, Jan Degenshein has great attention to detail and sense of place and cares deeply about his community. He’s brought those skills to the Norwalk City Council, diligently governing and debating the issues that matter most to Norwalk residents.

🤔 An issue close to my heart? Transportation! 🚗🚌🚂🚴🚶 One of the primary roles of a legislator is building the relationships necessary to be your district’s advocate so that when it needs funding, you can deliver it.

🚨Connecticut has passed comprehensive AI regulation – Senate Bill 5 – in an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote. Governor Lamont is expected to sign the bill. Huge shoutout to Senator James Maroney and Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff for leading on this bill after years of debate.

ICE murdered multiple American citizens on camera. Most immigrants arrested in their crackdowns don’t even have criminal records. I think it’s disgusting that we have a gubernatorial candidate in Connecticut cheering them on.

Happy May Day – otherwise known as International Workers’ Day. Today, workers across the country are still protesting for higher wages, better working conditions, and peace.

Community institutions, from civic associations to neighborhoods, only work when we reject the cynicism that tells us that we're better off by ourselves. Make no mistake: in order to build a stronger community and country, we need each other.

Great to go up to the Capitol twice this week for Norwalk Day and conversation with legislative leaders in their last week of the 2026 session as they pass vital bills on reproductive health, housing, ICE, and more.

🚂 Today, I took the train from the Connecticut State Capitol to back home in Norwalk. Let me tell you why that’s important. 🗳️ As a candidate for Connecticut State Representative, I want to improve Connecticut’s public transportation system. 🧵

❤️ My heart is full. Thank you to everyone who turned out to my campaign’s first meet & greet! It was an absolute joy to see elected officials, advocates, friends, and family this past weekend.

ICE has been snatching people from Connecticut courthouses. But thanks to this change from the Connecticut Judicial Branch, we’re one step closer to dealing with the significant damage that Trump has caused these people. Let’s keep the momentum going.

Whether it be working to establish a child tax credit or fund school meals, State Representative Farley Santos consistently demonstrates a deep care for his district and the people who live there.
