Saying you don’t “pay attention” to diversity when buying/reading books gives the same exact vibes as “I don’t see color”. Publishers and bookstores generally push white straight cis authors. You NEED to pay attention if you want to read diversely and get viewpoints outside your own experiences. 📚💙
