i have the idea of command fox being less of “marital issues mccloud” and just an extremely broken shell of his former self. he’s completely isolated himself from everyone and everything, and all he has left is his “never give up, trust your instincts” mantra and even that is waning on him.

I like to imagine Vixy’s not a bad mom at all, she’s just a bit strict to keep her son and husband grounded. If she wasn’t, James would’ve been in much more debt than he already is in canon.

my one personal retcon of star fox’s cemented lore as of the remake is headcanoning that fox and bill are childhood bffs since they were little kids on papetoon. they still met slippy at the academy and they all just kind of clicked lol.
I should be doing more doodles with real life backgrounds man… Star Fox doodles like this in the future..?
