A morning on Sheringham seafront seawatching with wryneckbirdingnk.bsky.social. Strong north westerlies were promising but didn't really deliver. 2 possible Cory's,Manx,Red throated Diver(lots),Common Scoter,Brent Goose,Eider and Arctic Tern.
An excellent Tuesday morning fishing the River Bure. Lots of roach and rudd under the watchful eye of someone else intent on fish.
Found this interesting brew in Wroxham. Well worth a try.
A week with @wryneckbirdingnk.bsky.social starting with a seawatch at Cley,best bird Common Scoter then a failed twitch for Lapland Bunting then a session at Titchwell with lots of waders,best being Curlew Sandpiper. Now enjoying his hospitality on the house boat at Horning. Fishing tomorrow.

Enjoyable afternoon at Vela Blanca. Not quite the raptor fest of last week but Eleonora's 1,Marsh H 4,Snake E 1,Booted E 8,Honey B 17 also a duel between a wandering Golden Eagle and the local Bonelli's and a Black Stork over Cabo salinas.

Almeria highlights wk comm 13/8......150 White Storks over Almerimar on 13th. Egyptian Vulture over Rodalquilar on 14th. Spanish Imperial Eagle at Bacares on 16th,3 Dotterel at Cabo salinas and raptors at Vela Blanca. Migrants such as Pied Fly,Redstart and Sub alpine at a few sites during the week.
Top morning at Punta Entinas with my first Bluethroat and Snipe of the autumn plus Wood Sandpiper, Little Stint, Gallinule, Spoonbills and more. The obligatory Flamingos too.
Best vismig of the year so far at Vela Blanca. 70 Marsh Harriers, 15 Honey Buzzards, 9 Booted Eagles, 21 Kestrels, 8 Sparrowhawks,1 Monty's,1 Hobby and a flock of 65 Bee Eaters plus the local Bonelli's and Peregrines.
Every year around this time I go to the golf course at El Toyo to look for passage migrants. This morning was excellent. 50+ Yellow Wagtails, several Redstarts,Pied Flys and Spot Flys,a Sub alpine Warbler, Willow Warbler and more. (Sorry no pic).
