Ohio -> Chicago -> Baltimore. Nursing student, triathlon coach, and former college professor. I'm right on top of that, Rose.

One thing I DESPISE about getting older is music. When I was 12, I could get 10 cds or tapes for a penny and those 10 cds were my world. Then in my teens, my book of cds in my car was my world. And now I'm 46. And there is SO MUCH VINYL I need to say that it's solidly my collection.

This weekend, I had random work hours to fill and I watched both Obesssion and The Odyssey. Both were really great films! And I FOR SURE have some critiques of The Odyssey and loathe the fact that I feel like I HAVE to like it or MAGA wins.

Ladies and germs, theys and thems, I present: My 9 year #sobriety chip. I chose the chip that best represents the last 365 days. Woof. It's been a time. But! But! If anyone else is struggling out there, just know that there is another way. It ain't always pretty but it's worth it. YOU are worth it.

So, a Gen X/Elder Millenial question: As people we know die, are we supposed to delete their contacts from our devices? Sure, it seems cold, right? But the pangs of grief that unexpectedly pop up when I'm trying to send a work email and a dead friend pops up is ... not fun.

Listen, if you're going to spend 1.5 trillion dollars on something that doesn't actually do anything for Americans (like healtchare, addressing food insecurity or housing), can you at LEAST do something cool like go to Mars?

For Marylanders who have problems distinguishing between a watch and a warning, this graphic from WBAL may be helpful. And hey, I'm not here to judge. I still make the L with my left hand to prove it's my left. I'm 46.

Not my dog (THANK GOODNESS) but signal boosting for folks around Patterson Park: The reward is 10k. Babette is an emotional support animal and we are incredibly motivated for her safe return. She escaped a rover at the corner of Patterson Park Ave and Eastern Ave at approximately 10:30 am 2/27/26.

I spent Friday the 13th at the movies, watching parts 1 and 2, meaning the dog was left unattended for a few hours. Which means I spent Saturday the 14th at the emeregency vet because WHATTHE FUCK DID MY DOG EAT?? My dog is now officially more expensive than my car.
