A woman behind me at the self-checkout kept telling me I was doing it wrong – I just had a slow scanner. I said, “I’ve got it, thanks,” and she looked offended. The practical lesson: never offer help unless someone asks. Unsolicited advice is just criticism in a friendly costume.

He describes himself as an ‘author’ - the reality is self published. He was a twat, he was at St Andrews and went to Harrow, but still I shared a roof with him for a year. Blocked.
