Happy birthday to those born on the 17th of August. Looking up "Jaden's Souls Virtues Extractor" on Google shows lots of people sharing their results from my page, but still brings up one of the clones first. They had a section talking about "inspiration" taken from me, now they removed that too.
Reposting this because I came across the Instagram sticker thing or whatever about the test, and lots of kids are sharing this one specifically. Not sure how to combat this. In hindsight I should've bought that domain as soon as the thing blew up.

I realized I still hadn't retaken my own test after all the updates, so here's my results. I rate it 3/10, I am clearly much more Flowery than this stupid thing rated me as.
You all really cared about this for some reason, so go find it, champs! Also implemented Ball Game to settle the debate once and for all, and made Flowery's secret work on the results page.
Chit-chat time! We broke 850.000 unique visitors! I would've talked about this earlier but I was looking at data from the past 24 hours, so I thought it was stable at 500.000 or so lol. Thank you so much to everyone! I did not expect such a response when I made this. I admit I am a bit overwhelmed.

So, about the math behind the scenes. The test doesn't really care about the total points a specific virtue has available for it, getting 7.5 points out of 10 or 15 out of 20 still nets you a 75% result. I did try to keep them close, still, but that's to have a reasonable amount of chances (1/3)
haloopdy@haloopdy.bsky.social · 7d agoi was wondering about that. i did see a LOT of kindness results too. do all the souls have the same amount of total points? do all the souls spread evenly across the questions, like are more questions giving points for kindness even if they're all low, etc?
Just so you guys know I had to look up where "green for an amazing reason" came from because I had no clue where it came from and half of the Kindness results had that in the post. I am just as confused as before.
I state as much on the page itself but it's worth repeating: I have access to exactly nothing you do when taking the test, and that will never change. Submitting your answers to the e-mail is voluntary and only serves the purpose of making the whole thing better.

Something about the PAT-BRV pair. I tried real hard to figure out how these two could compliment or worsen each other, but I got nothing, which means this pairing got a nothing-much description. Suggestions are welcome, I would like to do something about this, I saw two people get it already.

Wanted to talk about this too, but I forgot to do it earlier. Also probably last post for a while, I'm a bit overwhelmed. Long story short: Yes. I am of the opinion that "HOPE" and "LOVE" are much more interesting readings on the red SOUL, but for the purposes of this quiz I chose to go with (1/2)

According to many pieces of dialogue in-game, Determination is actually a golden substance, not a SOUL trait. A phone call in Hotland implies that the red SOUL trait is Love/LOVE. (Not trying to sound rude)
Since I figured I might change the way some statements are worded, or even remove questions altogether (for example, I flipped the framing of one in this update) I simply run the hash of the stored questions on your end against the page's. TL;DR: The save file has to be reset if updating questions.

Small update. I fixed a bunch of spelling mistakes that were brought to my attention, and also tried to combat the trending towards Kindness a bit. My take so far is that some statements are easily flattering and difficult to disagree with. Shouldn't change most people's results though.

This can be fine if it's a matter of demographic (hard to say) but I'm not going to exclude the idea that I might have to turn some knobs and gears. Finally, the feedback e-mail was not working, my bad entirely. Fixed now.
Hello once again! First of all, thanks to everyone for taking the time to take my test and posting their results all over so many socials. Now, onto some numbers: the page has already broken 150.000 visitors, and we're on the way to 200.000. I really didn't expect it to become so popular overnight.
