Canadian here: It’s not a hostage if the item held is becoming irrelevant to the purchaser. We’ve moved on. Found substitutes. The ban may be revoked and the shelf space made available, but the fact is it will never return to its previous sales, and the free market will make the loss permanent.

I will try to find the context of the full presentation so as to react with proper evidence, but it makes sense. And it’s staggeringly frightening if that’s how they see AI’s impact. Let’s try to estimate the human and societal cost (to these vultures, simply externalities) - to the mix. JFC!

The US red card controversy. The ultimate own goal by the US that had finally started to show the world that while its current leadership is FIFA level corrupt, its people are some if the best hosts in the world. Wow.
