Families carry the weight of incarceration too -- waiting, writing, praying, holding space for those inside. As we move forward, we may want to start talking more about relationships, healing, and family strength. Maybe even address some of the related misperceptions.

We have outside JLS liaisons showing up to "solidarity" events only to have other organizers try to convince them not to follow the lead of people inside. You literally cannot make this up. If your solidarity depends on policing the tactics of imprisoned people, you are fake
Outside spaces love using the language of prisoner solidarity until JLS outside liaisons show up with actual inside directives. If your "networking event" doesn't center the voices and demands of the people inside the walls, it’s not solidarity, it’s exploitation
