I wish the whole thing had turned out different too! but I had enough goin on back then that mocking the behavior of the dudes at Lowe's and Walmart who were clearly looking to fight about it was a heavier lift than I had in me mid-pandemic.

We really should have gone to greater lengths to be loudly disgusted by anyone who acted like getting a shot or wearing a mask to prevent the spread of a pandemic virus was worse than being conscripted into the First World War

The odyssey accents thing is hilarious and predictable. There is such a desperate desire on the part of whatever countries considering themselves the vanguard of what passes for western civilization to see themselves as straight-line heirs to Greece in a march of inevitable progress towards...

I love my dad so much. He's my mom's sole caretaker at 84 as she is increasingly altered by dementia, and, with her safely out weeding, he's scrubbing winter off his summertime coffee table. I'd probably be in a hole crying if I had to carry 1/10th what he does. He's still so so in love with her.

The Severance subreddit might be the most illiterate group of people I've ever witnessed. Also, music subreddits are full of "Getting into X band, where should I start?" Start from the beginning and see if you like it? Just fuckin watch and listen and draw your own conclusions. It's so strange.

I had an in depth conversation with my good friend Senator McConnell yesterday, touching on topics from senatorial history to Ukraine to Iran and this is the last time I'm gonna smoke salvia.
