If Europe wants American troops to leave Europe, escalating against America is the right choice. If Europe wants to keep American troops in Europe, we need to find a strategic balance with America. Agree on new burden sharing, from military to trade affairs.
If Europe would show middle finger to America, then America would show middle finger to Europe. Europe is existentially dependent on American military to prevent Russian invasion of NATO territory.
