I'm thoroughly tired of tmux clearing mouse selections, and github.com/tmux/tmux/is... indicates the developers don't give a shit. Anyone know how make tmux stop this stupid behavior? I do NOT want to enable vi mode.

I write code. You can find a lot of it at https://github.com/jsumners. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably riding my bike or practicing yoga. https://www.strava.com/athletes/5096393
Every time I open a site or app and it pops up a bunch of “guided tour” prompts I get unreasonably angry and slam whatever I can to get them out of the way. What an absolutely terrible UX.
I have been using AirMail for my personal email across macOS and iOS for several years. I begrudgingly paid their $10/yr fee for reasons. But they've jacked it up to $40/yr. Is Apple's Mail<dot>app my only option now?
I'm actively trying to organize and clean out my photos library. I used to take pictures of bad parking. I have deleted a lot of them, and will delete these, but these two have to be shared with the world before I do so.
This succinctly captures everything I despise about “go vote” calls. No one that says such actually wants you to vote. They want you to vote their way. Selecting “none of these wastes of air” is a perfectly valid vote. But they’d still are trying to shame you into thinking otherwise.
Whomever came up with the extremely stupid idea of allowing browser chrome to be styled by CSS: I do like you even a little bit.
This has been one of my main objections from the very beginning: there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between a human internalizing the styles they are exposed to and a computer program vomiting up exact copies of people's styles.
Sounds like Apple is adding a frame grab feature to Photos, but I guarantee it want be as good as this one. I’d actually pay for this if the author made it possible. www.tranquillitybase.jp/FrameGrab_io...
Frame Grab for iPhone and iPad 2.68 is available on the App Store
It allows you to extract frame images (JPG) from your videos on iPhone/iPad very easily.

I find the `??=` operator so marginally useful that it might as well not exist. Only assign if the left hand operand is nullish? Pretty pointless when you define shape from the outset (as you should do). It’d be far more useful if it assigned when the right hand operand is not nullish.
As a responsible human being you should reject any such offering and do the work yourself. These things are built on theft, the destruction of society, and the ruination of the habitat we require for existing.
Node.js runs under almost every AI product shipping today. The least the industry can do is give its maintainers the tools to keep it secure. Live July 15 👇 streamyard.com/watch/YJ7W3s...
@nebula.tv please let me disable this up next screen. I want it to go back to the screen I was on when I started the video I just watched. As it was for years. (AppleTV app)
So many new switches and config settings. It’s really not easy to figure out the right house of cards that’ll get things working. Absolute 💩show
Mind boggling that @xbox.com is selling off its one studio that gives them games worth buying. Senua was their only attractive series for exclusivity.

Really wish we had an alternative to @ubiquiti.bsky.social. They are charging bullshit "memory fees" on orders. At least there is one place out there still selling their existing stock at the actual price.
Just finished Sea of Stars. The game is fantastic and superbly done, but absolutely ruined by the “press A in time to block hit” mechanic. It was a real struggle to get through it because of that. I avoided combat whenever I could so I wouldn’t have to suffer through that mechanic.
This “premature close” bug in core has me extremely agitated
I have a domain specifically so that I can give everyone a unique email that flows through Simplelogin.io. I can see who sells and block stuff with a couple of clicks.

I need corporations to understand that not every purchase I've ever made in my life needs to result in receiving a weekly newsletter forever.
Super Mario Galaxy Movie is really good. Gives every unique game mechanic, and loose story line, a reason for being. And the art is amazing. I’d watch a third.
I am shocked. We are finally, at a state level, trying to deal with this damn blight of a tree. They are super hard to kill and spread almost as quickly as kudzu. Each of those pink filaments portends misery. www.wsbtv.com/news/local/a...
Report your sightings of this beautiful but invasive tree
It was originally introduced as an ornamental tree but has since spread across the Southeast.

It wouldn’t be a work week if I didn’t have to explain to at least one user how the caret qualifier works and why our package is not “vulnerable” to whatever advisory has them freaked out.

I have a website that I don't want to host on my existing VPS. I only need to upload HTML, CSS, and images (maybe a JS file or two), i.e.: an actual honest to goodness static site. Is @cloudflare.social "Pages" the place to host it?
Ship not JavaScript to the registry and watch the registry become unusable almost immediately. This idea is so bad I cannot articulate it.

I thought this was obvious. The only thing that should be added is anchors with identifiers so that people can link directly to relevant sections. Every heading in every post on jrfom.com provides this with a § link. Tip: these tools were designed for research and citation. Use them accordingly.

Well done article via @cassidoo.co’s newsletter this morning. I’ve pushed clients to remove those stupid share buttons for years, nice to have some metrics to back up my assumptions.
I’ll even take this over what we’re saddled with right now:
