I assume that no maintainer wants to see my AI-enabled rewrites, so I leave them in the network graph but usually wouldnโt make a PR unless I wrote the code by hand. Also, this is the most expensive that rewrites will ever be.
Bioinformatics rewrites miss the relational impact tofolks that are still actively maintaining and developing the software. I've been guilty of this myself, and I'll be sharing my story soon so others can learn from it.
