Citation software is very useful in legal academia, particularly if you are submitting an article to different journals that have different (and in some cases inaccessible citation styles). Also, Zotero allows you to put in notes that can help future you (your most important collaborator).

Rest in peace Fr Michael Tate. I can remember him telling me and about 200 other undergrads an engrossing story about an RAAF fighter jet and international humanitarian law back in 2009. The world is poorer for his passing.

Regarding Canvas, after discussions with colleagues this reinforces to me that (as much as I would like to Retvrn to Moodle), commercial LMS are going to be devoured by Microsoft/Google shortly. Both can offer far better infrastructure and security than shonky venture capital backed LMS vendors.
