Feels incredibly special to see a Hudsonian Godwit where I grew up and began this birding life #ukbirding

Really enjoyed my first spring in Norfolk, particularly getting to know local spots for migrants, such as this Wheatear. My spring expectations were reserved, but highlights within 5km included Ross’s Gull, Great Reed Warbler, Great Grey Shrike, Hoopoe, B-w Stilt, and Wood Warbler. #NorfolkBirding
One of two Black-winged Stilts landed in front Parrinder Hide, Titchwell this evening #UKBirding #NorfolkBirding
When I started birding, I always remembered the tale of “Hoopoe only turn up in the Vicar’s garden”. So I followed up on the vague Hoopoe report at Sedgeford by starting at the church. Happy it paid off! #NorfolkBirding #UKBirding
Pink-footed Goose ‘NW-7G’ with a GPS neckband sighted at Honey Hills, Norfolk, is wintering in the UK for the first time. This individual was ringed in the Netherlands and typically wintered in northern Belgium. Likely part of the current Tundra Bean and Whitefront influx #NorfolkBirding #UKbirding
Closer views than I was expecting of the Snow Goose at Baston Fen. Then onto the Crane and Whooper Swan roost at Willow Tree Fen. Listening to some of the best winter bird sounds with your mates is what it’s all about #Lincsbirding #UKbirding
Settling into Norfolk birding quite well with one Tundra Bean Goose and 118 White-fronted Geese at Titchwell village during a downpour this afternoon #NorfolkBirding #UKbirding
Never imagined I would see a Beluga Whale so well on our trip to the Netherlands!!
A couple of Firecrest fidgeting between the field maple and hawthorn at the entrance to Marina Farm, Thorney Island #ukbirding
Best views I’ve had of Long-eared Owl near Warham Greens this evening. After 2 minutes of preening, it tried hunting around the roosting site before heading out to the salt marsh #birding #Norfolkbirding #ukbirding
Tried finding a sheltered headland away from the northerly, which paid off with 2 Turtle Dove at St Ann’s Head, Pembrokeshire #birding #birdingWales #ukbirding
A White-tailed Eagle flyover provided the best lunch break for a while #ukbirding #birds #sussexbirding
Nice to see the Least Sandpiper again at Stilt Pool with @tcartz.bsky.social #ukbirding #birds #sussexbirding
Good views of the Black-throated Thrush despite the fog at Bordon this morning. Looks like a tick on its left eye in the second photo. #UKBirding #Birds #HantsBirding
Brilliant morning in the Durham Hills with @nathanieldargue.bsky.social watching 27 Black Grouse lekking in the snow #ukbirding #birds #DurhamBirding
Black-throated Diver seemingly unbothered by the Christmas shoppers and coffee goers at Emsworth #UKBirding #HantsBirds #Birds
A good start to a weekend in Norfolk with the lads, great views of the Shore Larks at Holkham this afternoon. A quick edit of one photo, before heading to the pub for a few pints and some pizza! #birds #ukbirding #norfolkbirds
Our Norfolk trip started at Titchwell with this Spotted Redshank. No sign of the Hume’s Warbler during our visit, but Sibe Chiff present at dragonfly pool #birds #ukbirding #norfolkbirds
Grey Wagtail regularly visits my new home in West Sussex. Feeling all settled in and love seeing them daily #UKbirding #birds
Lovely views of Cirl Bunting at Labrador Bay on the way back from Penzance. A small group were hunkered down in a sheltered hedge, avoiding the wind #ukbirding
