In case anyone wants to watch me compress the second of a six-course white oak spring for a 20 ton anvil, it was making really satisfying thonks. 🙏 Please, bsky god, send me a boyfriend who is into this.

I find the modern technosocial framing of each as a messiah unto themselves and disciple unto others vaguely disturbing every time I’m reminded of it. Ah I mean uh FOLLOW YE ME AND BE THOU FOREVERMORE SAVED FROM CONTENTLESSNESS
Nice thing about a farm is out on the farm, James Taylor isn’t around to get upset when you sing Shower The People You Love With Blood whilst you pull the onions.
From the manual: ▫️The haier conditioner is for when it is haute outside. ▫️Despite prior conditioning one may have received during symposium events and popular culture music, one must absolutely refrain from putting one’s hands up in the haier. ▫️The haier conditioner is not for shower use.
I’ve made a fair few hammers in my day, but all under the conditions of havin a grand ol’ fuckabout with friends. It’s so good to finally make a few Proper hammers under expert guidance that I’m going to actually be excited to use. 💖
We out here playing with the forbidden taffy yet again #slagqueen
omg not me staying up past midnight thursday coveting a nice old man's one of a kind contra bass aeolian alternate drone flute thinking it would be the perfect thing to meditate upon the musical stylings of Halo becoming hyper-fixated on how flutes work even though i have an early dentist appt
Getting ready to go get put through a new mattress with the energy of an over-wound crossbow loaded with crazy-snakes, high-fiving my other partners and posting about it on main like I’m about to run out a stadium tunnel through a big banner of my face.
So a big hemipteran momma came a-laying this string of eggs on my bathroom window screen, and after a couple of weeks they all started hatchingggg!!! It’s so cute how they’ve made a lil flotilla of wiggly bb’s. They floated around a bit but stayed together for like this two days while they hatched.
I’ve been watering these cast iron succulents I made last year, and I’m in love with the rust they’re growing. Almost every day I give them a spritz when I’m hitting the clone bb’s, and every day I think, “that’s the last time - they’re perfect now,” and every day I’m wrong. They just get better.
So egg on my face, I should have checked before I started the hormones - I thought the car washes would be free, but turns out it’s only 10% off and well, I guess now I’m stuck with these amazing tits and copious self-actualization.
My father completely sincerely asked me what I meant by ‘gaslighting’ this morning, and I cannot tell if he’s gaslighting me or not.
This skull was the first dish soap silicone mold I ever made. The pattern (seen ~1 min mark) was a forged piece I made as a practice for a demonstration, and I’m not sure I’ve ever forged one I liked as much since. I’ve cast about a hundred of them now in iron, bronze, copper, and aluminum.
Electroforming more tulip poplar thorns to thank them for tossing whole bouquets of flowers at my feet everywhere I go this time of year.
Agonizing over headlines as whether to go all-in on a full tank of gas or hedge with microdose gallons is today’s working class futures market.
Clear coat over nail cracks is the landlord special of self-care.
Someone special to me shared this heartrendingly sexy poem by Stephanie Burt. There are occasionally perfect things in the world, and I want to share this one with you. ❤️🔥
More tales from the world of Pelagia. This is the start of an ongoing actual-play using the beautiful TTRPG Wickedness. If that sounds interesting to you, I'd be eager to have you along! The first few installments will be out by the end of the day with more to follow.

For your consideration - a little human interest story teased from between the folds of some giant stories set in my DnD world, with clues to how it is woven into that tapestry. I don't know if I'll expand it much more than this, but I really had fun writing this today and felt like sharing. 😊

I’ve been on the long road back to the States, not making much except new friends, but here’s a cool thing from an old friend I’m staying with in the UK, @orangetronic.bsky.social - a drone motor with magnets and a capacitive grip sensor for inducing harmonics from strings! 😍🫠
Of all the forges I’ve assembled this one has fought me the most for control. Certainly it’s had the most complex set of psychosocial/environmental variables but a forced air brickpile is a hair(dryer)’s brea(d)th from a campfire. 🤷♀️ Only took a YEAR to dial it in, just in time to return to the US 🤦♀️
Upgraded this music sketch with a music video sketch, and now we get to ponder whether the project is twice or half as sketchy as before.

Doodlin’ a memory of a D.S. Walter painting outside the botanical garden at a cute cafe. A palimpsest. A very sweet server stopped to see what I was doing and they ended up sitting to join for a lovely chat about their own animation work and the reasons we draw. I love queer people so much. 🥰🏳️⚧️🌈
Caravan = flipped. This was so much sweaty work, it being summer in FNQ. 😅 You wouldn’t believe how bad it was to start, but let’s just say it was in the jungle and it was free. So glad to have more family out of tent living, and can’t wait to get the longhouse built over it to get som SHADDDDE. 🥵🥵🥵

Some more recording from the basement of the Metal Museum’s artist residence last year. It has the most insane reverb - it felt like singing with the power of a thousand showers.

For as long as I can remember I wanted to make my own music, but this is the first song I’ve ever written and composed. It’s been really challenging to rebuild my relationship with singing since coming out, and having a song of my own has helped to much.

Idk if interior design counts as something I “make” but I love for my living spaces to feel cozy, and these have been some good ones for me: Guest bedroom; Mt Molloy, QLD, Australia; 2 months, ‘24-‘25
A little XXXmas present. Reclaimed from the town’s logging mill, circa 1900’s. Can’t beat the feel of heritage steel. 😘
