Partial solar eclipse. The sun was so bright even at 93% covered, I could only look at the shadows... But I like the sky getting dark during that time, very dreamy. Still doesn't beat the surreal feeling during total eclipse though (saw it in 2009)

There is a very cute piece of mosaic close to where I live, so I 3D-scanned it and made it into a puzzle (in puzzling places's beta test of puzzle maker)
Puzzling places (PC version) is alpha-testing its puzzle maker, so I made puzzles from my scans of my plushies. (Scanned with RealityScan). It's fun playing them, harder than I thought just for 100 pieces
Updated the sword dynamics measurements following the author's instructions. subcaelo.net/ensis/dynami... The author is a member of our HEMA club.
39 degrees in Paris now, terrible weather without fan or air conditioning at home...
Got my new practice sword from Albion: 1204 g Point of balance super forward (14.3 cm) Flex > 16 kg Feels very heavy and not safe for sparring 😐 (it hits too hard no matter cutting or thrusting) Third pic: two other single-handed swords for comparison. POB both at 7 cm, left: 1254g, right: 1010g.
Maintaining the practice sword became homework. It's indeed super easy to rust...
Impression about Florence this time: somehow the mobile signal was extremely bad in the city center, lots of times shows "Edge" in museums. Also most of the restaurants don't provide tap water at all, which is a pity...
Went to Museo Stibbert again. It's my favorite arms and armor museum. Took lots of reference photos.
Wall arts on the street of Florence, vs the real things in the Uffizi
In Florence again, and went to see Verrocchio's David again. It's beautiful, and from the resemblance I believe the saying that it's modeled on young Da Vinci. Last drawing: by Da Vinci's pupil Francesco Melzi, shown in the previous Da Vinci exhibition in the Louvre.
In case any one wants to buy Shaoxing rice wine, go with the Chinese geographical indication label... most ones without the label are fake, and in some Asian supermarkets in Europe I can't even find any authentic ones
Went to the Paris book festival, it's interesting to see which books are popular in France at the moment.
Bought these in a patisserie in Paris but found out they are pet toys😂 www.playpetbrands.com/products/bar...
Made a Tang-dynasty round neck robe, it was suuuuper haaard... The references are from Shosoin and National museum of China. 唐の圓領袍(翻領袍)を作った。超絶難しかった...(そしてフランスの絹は高い) 参考は正倉院の大歌緑綾袍と中国国家博物館のモデル
Went to Opéra Bastille to see the opera Carmen. Very minimalist but radical production (lots of 18+ stuff), but the singing and orchestra were great
