My statement suspending my candidacy for the U.S. Senate:

Maine people are my North Star — I'm grateful to have you all in this fight with me.

Trump — with the help of Susan Collins — has stacked the Supreme Court with judges who are chipping away at our democracy, silencing voices, and eroding progress. Today's decision to gut protections in the Voting Rights Act that serve as a foundation for equal representation is beyond disgraceful.

Susan Collins claims to be an independent voice for Maine in the Senate, but she's voted with Trump 93% of the time — even when it hurts Maine people. She wants a sixth term to continue to do his bidding, but I won't let that happen.

When people drop their insurance because it’s no longer affordable, it raises the cost for everyone else — and for some, that can mean losing access to life-saving care. Susan Collins refused to extend the ACA tax credits, and it’s Maine people who are paying the price.

My Administration made the largest investment in building affordable and accessible housing in Maine history, but there's more work to be done. Owning a home is part of the American dream — as Senator, I'll work to make that dream a reality for all Maine people.
