holy heck, i just confirmed one of my cameras is currently selling on the used camera market for $300 over what i paid for it in 2018. i had doubted this was true and owe a pal an apology. this is all because of social media influencers and supply chains

did the dialect map. it would seem my dialect is most like someone from NYC, followed by Boston, followed by my actual, upper midwestern home town. i have often been asked if i am from NYC, tbh. but when i ask why, people invariably say because i "talk fast." weird

i'm not a gamer, so i didn't make this connection. this week my students have been thanking me for having and using my DVD library to illustrate concepts, etc. last night, i asked why. they explained the situation with Playstation. all i can say is, whoa, Sony, that was one stupid move.
