I posted this over on Instagram and forgot to share it here! It may be 2 days late, but here is a wee 4 part arrangement I wrote for Ouseburn Folk Choir of the May Song by Dave Webber. I had to shift it up a few keys so I could reach those bass and tenor notes!
I'm going to be doing a rare (my first ever, in fact) solo gig tonight at The Cluny in Newcastle supporting one of my favourite artists, Chris Brain. thecluny.com/listing/chri...

Solutions for those missing Instagram but hating on meta
Ok - I've stumbled upon the new Instagram! Pixelfed - anyone here using it yet? It's just like insta but de-centralised (you have to choose a server to create your account on) - this makes it kind of communally owned I think. Pretty cool.
Looking up at the night sky and seeing several planets at once, clearly, in a city, without a telescope has got to be one of my favourite things. Last night I was lucky enough to see a shooting star too!
Hey hey musicians & labels, what self-released, DIY or low key LPs or EPs do you have coming out in March that you want to make me aware of? Cheers!

Absolutely mind blowing Kan gig tonight in Sunderland ❤️
Just heard that apparently people wash their pyjamas after only one use. If I went on holiday for 5 days, I'd bring one set of pyjamas. Surely I'm not in the minority here?
Glasgow Cathedral ya beauty. So many of the original features were destroyed in the reformation, but it's still a stunner.
I love Glasgow. Today I visited the St Mungo museum of religious life and art, The Provand's Lordship (aka, the oldest house in Glasgow dated from 1471), and the Cathedral. Look at these beauties from the 14th Century
I've been off Instagram, tiktok and Facebook for a week-ish. Things I've noticed - I still look to my phone for entertainment but now, in the form of sudoku. The content I consume feels more interesting. Longer articles, less short, mindless filler. I've played mandolin a lot.
Outstanding performance from Hawktail tonight at Celtic Connections LNS. couldn't not share it!
