Oh yeah, there's nothing wrong with itch and no one's panicking at all, let me just have a look at my page view and download analytics. #looking-at-those-numbers #those-are-rookie-numbers #everyone-go-download-my-smut-and-smut-adjacent-projects

A fucking tiny group of christofascists has fucking destroyed half of the fucking adult industry within the span of a couple fucking weeks and there has been no fucking pushback whatsofuckingever.

so itchio has shadowbanned any games tagged with 'nsfw', 'adult', or 'erotic' so they don't show up in searches, and several devs have reported that their r18 games have been removed from the site with no warning

OK, I think I've found a new type of gay panic: less horny accidentally staring at someone's boobs when you first meet them Character A is facing away from B, B turns them around. A assumes they're the same height and looks straight and their eye level is the clavicle and neck of the othe[...]

I am...how you say..."the big mad" cause I finished a draft of the redux of my first chapter and it's exactly 2500 words on the dot. I just know when I do an editing pass it won't be worth the effort to keep it there. #Writing #why-can't-it-be-magical-all-the-time

Guess who had to learn that overcoming trauma is always a temporary thing again? Like a fool I was to think I was free of the demons of my past by simply outrunning them once. #I-joke-but #I-am-currently-incapable-of-receiving-a-hug-or-sitting-next-to-my-wife #without-crying-or-trying-to-[...]

Started again on my romance story after discarding pretty much everything is written the last few months. And the first bit of feedback I get is: "This door sounds interesting, I wanna hear more about that." #Writing #futility-of-the-author

Anonymous asked: reading some of your zines off itch.io I keep meaning to get back and write more zines. But rearing my own progeny takes up a lot of time. And I've also been trying to do some TTRPG design and writing a romance story. And transfriendly and gamedev lessons take a good amou[...]

Gotta love my very normal and reasonable responses to stuff. I finally got someone i know to read what I've been writing the last few months. And now I'm going to remove it from the internet cause I dont consider it good enough to exist. #Sensible-and-reasonable-reactions #also-very-real #[...]

I've done it. I've put my first "can't think straight" in the mouth of a character unaware of how much gay panic they're exhibiting. #Mission-accomplished #toxic-yuri-purveyor #the-classics-are-classic-for-a-reason

There's a period after finishing something where if its too close to me doing that, I don't want anyone i personally know to experience it. But once enough time has passed, I'm fine for anyone to see it. Cause now its not something I made, its some thing past-me did. And we're entierly dif[...]

Gotta decide if Wattpad has any use for me. I've been cross posting the same story on both Wattpad and Scribblehub, but only doing self promo posts that link to the Wattpad version. Yet somehow the Scribblehub copy has way more engagement and views than Wattpad. Maybe the genre I'm writing[...]

I don't get why it's such a big deal that trans people want to play in cis people sports. We let cis people participate in speedrunning tournaments.

I can now join the ranks of my fellow toxic yuri purveyors. I just wrote a scene where a lady who's sexually frustrated makes out with someone having a mental breakdown and helps them associate being safe and cared for with sexual gratification. Do i know this is a bad thing for these c[...]

There's some board games that aren't really board games and are just ice breakers in a hat. Well I've come u0 with one that's sure to be more than 50% arguments. I call it: Supercatagory Its simple, the old phrase "All A's are B, but not all B's are A." It's just a bunch of prompts for two[...]

One thing I think I'm good at when it comes to writing, it accurately describing what its like to fear for your safety when you think about an abuser and they're not actually present. Just the shadow of your trauma cast on the wall is a little too thrilling and all your blood tries to mak[...]

After consulting the Oratrice Mechanique d'Analyse Cardinale (aka my story notes) I'm up to writing the first kiss in my slow burn story. But first I need to write a character having a panic attack followed by a bit of a mental break. #the-kiss-is-a-bit-of-a-reward-for-them-getting-this-fa[...]

Love going back to creative notes I wrote months/years ago only to find a different opinion in how the characters would refer to one another. So now I need to translate functionally someone else's notes (past me) into present me's way of thinking about the story. Can't catch me actually r[...]

This might be the longest I've stuck with a writing project. I don't know if knowing no one is reading it is helping me keep going, or I'm just mature enough now to like my own work. Either way, I've just published chapter 7. https://www.wattpad.com/story/395478580-her-love-makes-safe-ha[...]

New writing tip: poorly describe your characters guestures so the reader can perfectly fill them in "I don't want to say 'this is a white neighborhood that'd call the cops on you' buuuuuuuut..." Debug gestured at the houses along the street and made a face that tried to finish her sentenc[...]

More writing of mine i really enjoy out of context. making the noise of a microwave warming something up while she thought. #Writing #its-like-a-1st-person-narration-but-from-a-3rd-person-perspective #so-the-descriptions-are-in-the-style-of-the-POV-character #and-this-one-harkens-stuff-to[...]

Sometimes I don't know if I'm a good writer, and then I re-read some throwaway line and just lose it. She hadn't been thinking much about the person she was caring for, but without a shirt or pants they certainly seemed like a lady who had lost a fight with a homophobic flight of stairs. [...]

Guild Wars 2 has the correct amount of effort put into their skyboxes so you can take cool ass screenshots #Gw2 #guild-wars-2 #this-is-also-half-the-reason-for-new-emotes

U-G-L-Y That is how I'm gonna cry Its ugly eh eh Cry ugly!

Having spent some time playing Get In The Car, Loser i think it has the same problem that Xenoblade has: inscrutable depth at its shallowest point. The combat system seems fine, until you try and use it on purpose and then stuff stops being clear. You've got functionally an Active Time B[...]

Sometimes I think I'm normal, and then on a bad day my wife comes over and asks if I want a hug (a thing I am known for loving and always wanting more of) and my brain can only kick me into the fight mode of fight or flight. #She-can-tell-something's-wrong-cause-i-subtly-turn-side-on-and-d[...]

I've had a quick look at a few other titles on Wattpad and some of them are like a few hundred words a chapter. Like If I started a new chapter every time I did a perspective shift I would have written like 3 chapters today and still written longer chapters than these chucklefucks. Not to [...]

Chapter 5. Chapter 5. Give it up for Chapter 5. https://www.wattpad.com/story/395478580 We're approaching the hints of romance as two characters share a hug while a third has what I can only describe as a "hypervigilance attack". #One-day-my-blorbos-will-kiss #in-the-not-too-distant-future[...]
