3rd place in yesterday's App Parade mobile app contest! 🤩 Not bad, considering I was the only solo developer there. This year’s theme was AI and its practical use. I introduced my AI Audio Guide, which works anywhere in the world. Want to know more details? Stay tuned!

I just submitted my first talk proposal for a conference ever! It’s called Visual Intelligence with React Native Vision Camera. Is it going to be good enough for App.js Conf? We’ll see!

I just tried replacing all my FlashLists with FlatLists (yes, you read that right). The result? 60 FPS! 🚀 Even in a country list with flags and ~200 items. So, what’s the point of FlashList anyway? Sometimes it feels like it causes more problems than it solves. Was something fixed in React Native?

I’m finally using the React Compiler and the new architecture in production in one of my React Native apps 🤩 I don’t notice much of a difference because it was already fast enough 😁 I can’t wait to try it in more complex apps!
