This year's USA Independence Day is very special. Everyone else gets to understand how old I feel every morning before coffee.

Typing in Spanish and where I mean to type the word "fuera" I keep typing "fuser". Obviously my first language isn't English. It's Unix.

It's 7 PM (midnight UTC), so I passed the arriving evening shift as I was leaving work. 🐇 👷

I learned (from Google AI) a handy phrase used in Mexican Spanish: "dar el avión" ("to give the airplane"), meaning to nod along to someone just to get them to shut up, completely ignoring what they are actually saying. For example, "No le digas nada, solo dale el avión." = "nod and say 'Uh-huh'." 😆

Thanks to my friend Ale for reminding me that today is World Sea Turtles Day (Día Mundial de las Tortugas Marinas). I am so fortunate to have been able to swim with these beautiful animals. This one was feeding on seagrass next to a reef and its shell was not only beautiful but excellent camouflage.

Walk up to sink... Turn on faucet... Throw cool water on to my face... Realize that I still have on my glasses. Ok, I'm tired.
