Well done on the 2.5k! I'm Jan-Jaap, a Dutch fantasy illustrator. Here is some of my most recent work

Personal work. 2026
A Demon clad in green armor and a billowing white cape resembling wings flies among the towers of a gothic city at twilight. It's holding a collection of bells, signalling its arrival.Personal work. 2026
A proud woman in a black dress and a large bronze collar stands before a distant dragon's claw silhouetted against the sky. It's still so big it doesn't completely fit the frame.Personal work. 2025
A dark elf warrior in chitin armor and brandishing a scimitar stands in a cavern. Around him a river of centipedes with bodies the size of tree trunks skitters towards the viewer. One centipede raises itself up to look over the elf's shoulder.Personal work. 2025
A griffin, wings outstretched, is locked in combat with a centipede-like invertebrate wrapped around it. The griffin holds his claw out, ready to strike.

Digital artwork of a dragon's neck and head. Its scales are primarily colored a light sky blue, and its spikes and horns are gold. Many of its scales also have bright magenta regions. Its eyes are a shiny black.

Its long neck its twisted in a snake-like position, with its head facing left. Its teeth are visible on the outside of its lips, much like crocodile teeth, and its snout is tipped in a bone-like beak structure. Two of its top teeth are especially long and tusk-like, curving outwards from either side of the head. The dragon has 3 pairs of horns, the longest and thickest of which is the highest pair on the back of the head. A thick but short spike, similar in appearance to the horns, is located on the side of the head, near the back of the jaw.

3 rows of spines extend down the creature's neck, and each spine is gold in color, with a magenta base. The center row of spines is significantly taller than the others, and each spine of this row is lobed in the center. Each lobe is patterned with white and purple spots.

The dragon's environment is a cloud scene at sunrise. It consists of pastel pinks and pale purples. Some sky blue is also visible at the top of the illustration, and in the rightmost top corner the sky fades to navy blue. In front of the dragon, some pink clouds form a circular shape that frames the creature's face.

Below the main artwork, there is a solid navy blue panel with white text on it. The text reads: "ARTSHARE (Rules in post text)."

A second study: rusted iron - Highlights only show up where the rust is worn away - No reflections of the environment - Surprising variations in brightness and hues of the rust - Texture is very important. Again, brushes help - details of iron shining through and holes appearing sell the illusion

Material study. A rusted iron medieval knight's helmet

Doing some material studies to get rid of the everything looks like plastic syndrome. First off: Iron - Lot's of midtone. Bright highlights. Dark darks - Some reflection of the environment's values - texture brushes help sell the "well worn" look - gradients everywhere
