Obviously fuck the Dodgers. Also: love how the reaction is "we need a salary cap" which only helps owners, when the real issue is not that the Dodgers have crazy resources but that 29 other teams aren't utilizing their own. A robust salary floor would accomplish the same balance w/o punishing labor

Random CEO: I am excited to announce my own AI startup. I will make a machine so powerful it will solve all the world's problems including climate change. I just need $50 trillion unfettered sovereign reign over four currently populated U.S. states, and 60 years before results Ruling class: Deal!!!

To be clear I'm 100% okay with this, it's just that I wear it because @lisamarietea.bsky.social got it for me at Oracle Park last summer and I hate the Ricketts family so I have limited Cubs loyalty, so I always feel like I'm disappointing people seeking ex-pat community

It’s not unsolicited. Wearing a band T, a sports hat, you’re identifying with a tribe. Why do it if you don’t want to discuss your tribe?

My takeaway from whenever I see things like old Emeril shows or Letterman clips go viral is always "wow TV was so much better back when they tried to make it good and fun and popular" which is fun.

Pickford has made some insane saves and yet doing the "hands right by the ball but not actually picking it up yet" time-wasting move and then ALSO whining to the asst ref when an opponent runs in and makes a play for the ball while you're doing it is the kind of bad karma you don't want to cultivate
