Misleading news headlines: I watched this video on BBC "What triggered the mass migrant crossings into Ceuta?" The answer by the journalist? "We don't know" I find therefore the headline purposely misleading. She didn't answer the question she posed www.bbc.com/news/videos/...

Morocco: What triggered the mass migrant crossings into the Spain's Ceuta?

An estimated 60,000 migrants from Morocco have crossed into Ceuta, with dozens dying during the journey.

What makes it particularly ironic is it lead me to give up cycling. All that noise! And the idea of sleeping with the windows open in the summer - gone. Cars, truck beeps when backing up, planes, sirens...

I mean… I think this isn’t really surprising is it? “Existing research has found potential biological pathways that link noise exposure to Parkinson’s disease, largely due to stress responses and disrupted sleep.“

"Trump's new tariffs on Canada could face a court challenge. But this time, he might win." The only people who are winning are Lawyers. When did the courts suddenly replace common sense?

We'd have a better time pushing back against US tariffs if as a nation we could all stay sober for 10 minutes. The savings in healthcare alone would make us one of the richest nations on earth. Drop the love affair with booze. Admit you've been duped. Embrace sobriety.

Booze harms carry a heavy price tag. Alcohol related costs estimated at over $131 million a year far exceeding revenue from alcohol sales & leaving roughly a $61‑million deficit for the prov. PEI also has the highest reported impaired driving rate of any prov. #cdnpoli www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Alcohol costs P.E.I. more than it brings in, new provincial strategy says | CBC News

Prince Edward Island has released a new provincial alcohol strategy aimed at reducing illness and harms linked to drinking, and experts say it puts the province ahead of much of the country.

Call me a party pooper, but this is the wrong place for alcohol distribution. It's city property, leased by the lawn bowling club. It is adjacent to a family area with ice cream, river views and a tea house - not the place for public intoxication #guelph www.guelphtoday.com/local-news/m...
