if you’re around children at all regularly, ask yourself if you’re someone a child could turn to. ask yourself if you’re someone a child feels safe around or someone a child needs to lie to. if you’re a parent, do you let your children refuse to hug people? Have you taught them that they can say no?

idk who needs to hear this but child abuse, including sexual abuse, is not an exception. it is not an outlier it is the natural result of adults having unchecked power over children. you cannot treat it like something that happens somewhere else, as an abstraction. it has happened to people you know

It will be worse than this! Most websites will be forced to ask you to send your ID to a third party surveillance service, adding a credit card won't be enough for most. Bluesky asks for your *social security number* if you live in Texas now, due to this shit. Call in, and kill it.
