Attended the Pediatric Pain Masterclass at UCSF this past week. So glad to see familiar faces & reconnect. A key takeaway: pediatric pain management works best when it's multimodal, with integrative medicine & creative arts therapies playing an important role from the start! 🎶

Out today in Music & Science! 🎶📘 In this paper, I propose a cultural approach to musical care—arguing that aligning cultural meanings, psychological processes, music practices, and health goals (“cultural match”) can strengthen music-based interventions.
